Function of the role:

  • Leyton is looking for a Skatte Jurist/Tax Konsult to give legal advice on various topic such as R&D tax relief or Energy tax relief. The aim is to support the claim for our clients.
  • You will work directly and closely with the CEO of Leyton Sverige AB. You will be the key legal person of the company.
  • This is a very varied role and you will work with all fields of the industry and will have access to cutting-edge research projects and also working closely with the other in-house Technical and Financial Consultants at Leyton Sverige AB.

Main responsibilities will include:

  • Actively contribute to legal and case law monitoring to identify developments related to the activity of the R&D (Forskningsavdrag) and Energy Tax (El Skatt) claims.
  • Drafting structured and argumented reports answering SKV inquiries and comments.
  • Close collaboration with in-house consultants for the review of R&D/Energy projects covering various industries ranging from (but not limited to) core IT, Financial Services, Pharmaceutical, Retail, Engineering and Science.
  • Close collaboration with Tax partners and the Tax authority to defend claims.
  • Meeting with some authorities to share Leyton´s point of view on some topics.
  • Staying abreast of developments in industry and identifying new business opportunities and participate in creation of new business services.
  • Updating the CEO on new regulations / laws.
  • Conduct internal training in order to share updated legal news to all stakeholders of an audit mission.

The aim is to help Leyton Sverige AB to grow even more by providing internal and external legal advice – and hence you must be analytical and able to work within strict deadlines.

Desired experience and skills:

  • Fluent in Swedish and English (both spoken and written).
  • Master’s degree in Tax Law or General Law Degree – from a Swedish University.
  • Prior experience with Skatteverket or a knowledge of the Skatt process would be a bonus.
  • Curiosity, awareness, and initiative oriented
  • Excellent communication (both spoken and written) and ability to convey complex ideas into simple concepts.
