How has your perception of R&D Tax Credits changed since working with Leyton?

“We were claiming a very minimal fee with our accountancy firm, but they certainly didn’t go into the depths Leyton did. I know there’s a fear among many in my industry of a Revenue audit, but Leyton have mitigated that risk because you’ve done it properly.

You’re the experts in the field so you knew what questions to ask, knew what would and wouldn’t get in, so I’m quite confident. And even if there are questions, you guys will be answering them.”

What has the R&D Tax benefit you secured meant for the business?

“The money will be put straight back into the company so we can invest in more R&D and it’ll just help with our costs going forward and help us to grow.”

What would your advice be to other Irish Steel members?

“Don’t leave money on the table because of a fear of a Revenue audit. Leyton are so thorough they ensure what can and can’t be included so that they mitigate the risk. If you’re doing R&D, you should be claiming R&D Tax Credits with Leyton.”
