Details Of Their Qualifying Buildings<\/h3>\n

The Leyton team worked with Kadre Architects on three separate projects<\/mark><\/strong> in the Los Angeles area. Once run-down motels, now offer shelter to those experiencing homelessness.

The Alvarado<\/mark><\/a> is a 43-unit community space that offers temporary housing support offices dedicated to helping people transition out of homelessness. This property spans over 20,000 square feet and offers 172 beds to families in need.

The Woodlands<\/mark><\/a> is a residence for single mothers and children experiencing homelessness. This project, which has 100 units on the property, is in collaboration with the charity Hope the Mission which looks to end poverty across the country.

The Sierra<\/mark><\/a> is a 38-unit interim housing facility on a four-acre property. Its design is focused on healthy living, with a kitchen that serves three meals a day and spaces for kids to play outside. <\/p>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n

The Benefit<\/h3>\n

Through the 179D Energy Efficient Commercial Building Property Deduction<\/mark><\/a>, Kadre was able to claim substantial tax savings of over $250,000 for the three former motels.

The \u00a7179D Property Deduction provides\u00a0commercial building owners, and designers<\/mark><\/strong>\u00a0of buildings owned by public entities and designers of tax-exempt entities the opportunity to claim a tax deduction for installing qualifying energy-efficient buildings.
