In his new role, James will leverage his nearly 20 years of experience, having delivered millions of pounds in liability savings to landlords and occupiers across all property sectors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cI\u2019m excited to join Leyton UK to lead their Business Rates service,\u201d said James. &#8220;Business Rates are often misunderstood, ignored, or only&nbsp;reviewed in retrospect, even though they&#8217;re often many businesses&#8217; third-highest outgoing.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cMy team and I will be taking a people-first approach. The next Business Rates revaluation comes into effect on 1<sup>st<\/sup> April 2026, affecting the bills of most UK businesses. So, if a company wants to challenge the current valuation of their property they have until 31<sup>st<\/sup> March 2026 to do so.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;Businesses really don&#8217;t want to miss this deadline,&#8221; said James. &#8220;If you&#8217;re being overcharged, the end of March is the last chance to challenge your rates and claim a refund.
