The process of the claim<\/h2>\n

\u201cWe found the process very smooth, to be honest. As good as we are at developing tools, we had struggled to find the time when it came to R&D claim paperwork.

The team at Leyton were on the ball and proactive which meant there was very little back and forth required, saving us significant time.

Overall, I\u2019d say we contributed around half a day of work on our side – it was pretty low touch, which was ideal for us.\u201d

Mukhtar [the consultant delivering on the claim] understood our technology very clearly, we didn\u2019t have to translate or explain too much due to his existing knowledge of oceanography.<\/p>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n

The benefit of the claim<\/h2>\n

Aside from the financial benefits of the R&D claim, NeuWave highlighted operational and learning benefits from working with Leyton and carrying out the R&D claim.

\u201cWhat was really helpful was having that third-person perspective, a more objective view on what would count as R&D and what wouldn\u2019t.

We also learned that for future claims we should tracked our hours more closely. This year we\u2019ve been logging times proactively. We now better understand how to structure things like employee contracts to make sure we can claim effectively.\u201d<\/p>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n
