It allows us to reinvest in our operations, in our R&#038;D and in our team.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><strong>What kind of R&#038;D is the company currently involved in?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We\u2019re actively addressing major industry challenges like <em>saprolegnia<\/em>; a harmful fungus affecting both wild and farmed salmon. In partnership with other industry partners, we\u2019re exploring new technologies and treatments to reduce losses.<\/p>\n<p>On the genetic side, we focus on selecting the best males and females suited to marine challenges, which helps improve animal welfare and boost financial performance for our clients.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><strong>How did Leyton support you through your R&#038;D tax credit claims?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We\u2019ve worked with Leyton since 2017, they have assisted us in compiling all the data together and creating a good report and submission for our tax credit claim every year.<\/p>\n<p>Every year, we begin with a discussion to review the R&#038;D projects we\u2019ve carried out, their results, and outcomes. Together, we categorise these into different project groups.<\/p>\n<p>We then send this information to Jessica at Leyton, who prepares a technical report. Meanwhile, we also compile all the costs associated with the project. A couple of weeks later, we receive a full report ready for submission to our tax accountant and we get the tax credits claim.<\/p>\n<p>Leyton has been involved since day one and quickly understood our business.
