About the client<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Quix <\/a>was founded in 2020 after previously working in the McLaren Racing group and now build software that benefits engineering organisations, especially mechanical engineers, to build and develop new products such as, cars, trucks, buses etc.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Their team helps to build in-house data platforms for innovative businesses to enable them to accelerate their new developments and projects.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Alongside Quix\u2019s main platform, they also provide AI agents which allow software engineers to build their data platforms and help end users, such as systems and test engineers, to carry out analytics, data science and build software applications.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The process of the claim<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThe whole process with Leyton was incredibly easy, much easier than I ever thought it would be!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It was straightforward, we connected your team with our accountants and let you take care of that entire side of the process. Our biggest concern was doing the technical write up and the amount of time that it might take, but I barely had to be involved and after a couple of meetings your team provided us with a very strong technical document\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The benefit of the claim<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThe claim has had a material impact on our runway and allowed us to start hiring new staff. We can invest the finances claimed to hire more people to help develop our products faster which is vital in the AI industry as it is constantly evolving at a rapid pace.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We extended our runway by quite a long period and then decided to keep the same runway length but spend more money to try and grow the business faster in the time period that we have available.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The best part of the service was actually post-submission. We had some questions from HMRC and I think if we were trying to deal with that on our own, we probably would have walked away and assumed that we didn\u2019t qualify.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Having the Leyton team there to follow it through and make sure it was properly addressed was amazing, that was a really good experience.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What would you say to other businesses thinking of claiming?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThe overhead of the claim was very minimal, in total it took under 10 hours, I was surprised how little involvement I had to have in the whole process.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

My biggest advice for other businesses would be to let Leyton do it for you, I would recommend their team to anybody and encourage founders to do it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
