Do you think other industries also have good opportunities under the program?<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Yes. The\u00a0automotive and steel\u00a0industries were heavily\u00a0impacted\u00a0by tariffs\u00a0and hence the focus for the government,\u00a0but the program is open to all companies that meet the eligibility requirements.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading has-luminous-vivid-orange-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-be1517d2cc36fc3c3404dcfa9230c660\"><strong>What if a certain percentage of materials or components are sourced in Canada \u2013 is that acceptable?<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>The assessment\u00a0takes into account\u00a0the full\u00a0case presented in the project and not just one factor.\u00a0It is important to show how the project aligns with the\u00a0objectives\u00a0of the program.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading has-luminous-vivid-orange-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-4b41aa7574278b8abd2aa910ac627987\"><strong>If\u00a0a service is provided globally, for example from India, is that acceptable? Do we need to mention the location in the project title? Also, if the number of full-time equivalent employees dedicated to international business development is zero, is that acceptable? Do we need international sales revenue to be eligible?\u00a0<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Eligibility\u00a0is not\u00a0focused on\u00a0the impact of the service but more so the location of the employees. The company\u00a0has to\u00a0be Canadian\u00a0incorporated and employees\u00a0based\u00a0locally.\u00a0For\u00a0Canexport, the company has a whole must have\u00a0a\u00a0minimum revenue of $300K to qualify for the program. However, an eligible target market under the program must have less than $100,000 or less than 10%\u00a0of its overall revenue for that market to qualify.\u00a0You need to\u00a0determine\u00a0how many people are\u00a0dedicated to international expansion efforts.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading has-luminous-vivid-orange-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-af1546da55f28664f2e8f5e05cf24de8\"><strong>I am looking to set up an office in the US to expand my market reach. Will those costs be covered under any of the programs?<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Unfortunately, these costs are not covered.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading has-luminous-vivid-orange-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-e01ff0f05fcae29a8cd32a086795e930\"><strong>\u00a0Do we need to focus on one international market, or can there be more than one?\u00a0<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>The\u00a0Canexport\u00a0program supports\u00a0expansion into\u00a0up to\u00a05 markets per application.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading has-luminous-vivid-orange-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-faaf1168944ac4e9858b105b5b6f57eb\"><strong>Are there any limitations on the markets we can target?<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Most markets are\u00a0eligible under the program. However, there are some countries where sanctions are imposed and those countries are ineligible.
