      How does trade show funding work, and what percentage of costs can be covered?<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

      There are two kinds of funding programs<\/strong> targeted at Trade Shows<\/strong> today. One is the CanExport program<\/strong> and the other is the AgriMarketing Initiative<\/strong>. Both programs intend to expand existing market presence<\/strong> to new geographies<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      CanExport<\/strong> covers up to 50%<\/strong> of eligible project costs<\/strong>, to a maximum of $50K<\/strong>, and the AgriMarketing Initiative<\/strong> covers up to 70%<\/strong> of eligible project costs<\/strong>, with a maximum contribution of $100,000 per project<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      Eligible expenses<\/strong> may include trade show participation<\/strong>, exhibiting at trade shows<\/strong>, export marketing activities<\/strong>, obtaining certifications<\/strong> required for international markets<\/strong>, and market development initiatives<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      These programs are designed to help companies expand into new markets<\/strong> and strengthen their international presence<\/strong>. Expenses incurred before April 1st<\/strong> will not be considered eligible<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      Can Leyton assist with multi-phase projects \u2014 for example, initial equipment upgrades now and export expansion next year \u2014 under a broader funding strategy?<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

      Yes. Companies can structure their funding strategy across multiple phases. Some programs support multi-year projects covering different strategic objectives<\/strong>, while others allow businesses to apply separately for different phases, such as equipment modernization first and export expansion later.       If we receive repayable funding like BSUP, how flexible are repayment timelines?<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

      Repayable funding programs such as BSUP typically offer favorable repayment terms<\/strong>, including interest-free contributions<\/strong>, a grace period following project completion<\/strong>, and repayment schedules spread over several years<\/strong>. Specific repayment conditions are outlined in the contribution agreement and are designed to provide businesses with financial flexibility while supporting growth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      How does Leyton charge for its services?<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Eligibility depends on the specific program, sector, and nature of the project. A detailed assessment can help identify the most appropriate funding opportunities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

        Is funding available for equipment investments that require facility expansion?<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

        Yes. Many programs support equipment purchases and installation costs<\/strong> that improve productivity and operational performance. Facility modifications or expansions may also be eligible when they are directly required to install or integrate new equipment<\/strong>. However, funding is generally not available for standalone building construction or land acquisition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

        I work for a food bank. We are about to build a new warehouse. Are you aware of any funding opportunities for maybe funding for a greenhouse, vertical growing, commercial kitchen\/production, or something along those lines? <\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

        Some AAFC programs could be applicable<\/strong>.\u00a0Lets\u00a0have a discussion to uncover more of what your project looks like and\u00a0identify\u00a0what programs would work best in your\u00a0favour.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

        <\/h4>\n\n\n\n

        What trade show funding program is available for medium to large farming companies? <\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

        Trade show funding<\/strong> is only available for Small to Medium companies<\/strong>. In the current intake<\/strong>, CanExport<\/strong> took out the Canadian agricultural sector<\/strong>, which includes primary agriculture<\/strong>, as well as agri-food<\/strong> and agri-products industries<\/strong>, from its purview<\/strong>. As such, the AgriMarketing program<\/strong> would be the best fit<\/strong> \u2013 however, you have to be a Small to Medium sized enterprise (SME)<\/strong>, i.e., have less than 500 employees<\/strong> to qualify<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
