This is what two experts,<a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/in\/jay-lerner-1aa18460\/\"> Jay Lerner<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/in\/james-zhong-cpa-cma-9b041485\/\">James Zhong<\/a>, were able to demonstrate in an exclusive webinar, which we summarize below.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Common Issues:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>\u25aa\ufe0f<strong>Processing Issues:<\/strong> Mismanagement of tax on invoices from foreign suppliers, including errors related to GST\/HST on USD invoices or confusion about supplier registration numbers.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u25aa\ufe0f<strong>System &amp; Automation Errors: <\/strong>Software errors leading to missed claims for refunds.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u25aa\ufe0f<strong>Legislative Confusion: <\/strong>Misinterpretation of tax laws, particularly for U.S. suppliers. Many businesses unknowingly overpay GST\/HST and fail to claim refunds.
