{"id":1871,"date":"2023-02-06T16:18:33","date_gmt":"2023-02-06T16:18:33","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/leyton.majjane.agency\/ca\/post\/long-short-term-memory-networks\/"},"modified":"2023-02-06T16:18:33","modified_gmt":"2023-02-06T16:18:33","slug":"long-short-term-memory-networks","status":"publish","type":"article","link":"https:\/\/leyton.com\/ca\/en\/insights\/articles\/long-short-term-memory-networks\/","title":{"rendered":"Long Short-Term Memory networks"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Long Short-Term Memory Networks<\/strong>, most often referred to as &#8220;<strong>LSTMs<\/strong>,&#8221; are a unique class of RNN that can recognize long-term dependencies. <\/p>\n<div style=\"height:30px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n<p>They were first presented by Hochreiter &amp; Schmidhuber (1997), and several authors developed and popularized them in subsequent works. They are currently frequently utilized and perform incredibly well when applied to a wide range of issues. <\/p>\n<div style=\"height:30px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n<p>Intentionally, <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/leyton.com\/ca\/ict-companies\/\">LSTMs<\/a> <\/strong>are created to prevent the long-term reliance issue. They don&#8217;t strain to learn; rather, remembering knowledge for extended periods of time is basically their default habit. <\/p>\n<div style=\"height:30px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n<p>All recurrent neural networks take the shape of a series of neural network modules that repeat. This recurring module in typical <strong>RNNs<\/strong> will be made up of just one tanh layer, for example.<\/p>\n<div style=\"height:30px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image aligncenter size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/leyton.com\/ca\/wp-content\/blogs.dir\/3\/files\/2023\/01\/Long-short-term-memory-ai.png\" alt=\"Long short term memory artificial intelligence\" class=\"wp-image-20481\"\/><\/figure>\n<div style=\"height:30px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n<p>The horizontal line that runs across the top of the figure and represents the cell state is the key to <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/leyton.com\/ca\/ict-companies\/\">LSTMs<\/a><\/strong>. The cell state resembles a conveyor belt in certain ways. With only a few tiny linear interactions, it proceeds directly down the whole chain. Information can very easily continue to travel along it unmodified. <\/p>\n<div style=\"height:30px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n<p>Since there may be delays of uncertain length between significant occurrences in a time series, <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/leyton.com\/ca\/ict-companies\/\">LSTM<\/a> <\/strong>networks are well-suited to categorizing, processing, and generating predictions based on time series data. <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/leyton.com\/ca\/ict-companies\/\">LSTMs<\/a> <\/strong>were created to solve the vanishing gradient problem[16] that might occur when training conventional RNNs. In many cases, <strong>LSTM <\/strong>has an advantage over RNNs, hidden Markov models, and other sequence learning techniques due to its relative insensitivity to gap length.<\/p>\n<div style=\"height:30px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n<p>Are you working on the development of LSTM networks?
