La consommation en carburant d’un avion d\u00e9pend en grande partie de sa masse. Il a \u00e9t\u00e9 d\u00e9montr\u00e9 qu\u2019une r\u00e9duction de poids de 500 kg se traduit par une diminution d’environ 1 % de la consommation de carburant. L\u2019industrie a\u00e9ronautique<\/a> travaille actuellement sur la conception et le d\u00e9veloppement de nouveaux mat\u00e9riaux plus l\u00e9gers que ceux d\u00e9j\u00e0 existant afin de r\u00e9duire le poids des pi\u00e8ces et composants et permettre aux avions de voler plus haut et plus vite en consommant moins de carburant.<\/strong><\/p>\n

L\u2019impression 3D : Technologie prometteuse<\/strong><\/p>\n

Pour r\u00e9ussir ce pari, l\u2019impression 3D s\u2019av\u00e8re une technologie tr\u00e8s prometteuse pour l\u2019industrie a\u00e9ronautique tant sur le plan \u00e9conomique que sur le plan manufacturier. En effet, d\u2019un c\u00f4t\u00e9 elle permet l\u2019\u00e9limination des proc\u00e9d\u00e9s usuels qui consomme beaucoup de mati\u00e8re r\u00e9sultant en gain de temps de fabrication et d\u2019un autre c\u00f4t\u00e9 une conception de pi\u00e8ces plus l\u00e9g\u00e8res r\u00e9sultant d\u2019un gain en poids et par cons\u00e9quent de meilleure performance en vol.<\/p>\n

La fabrication de ces pi\u00e8ces 3D se base sur l\u2019utilisation d\u2019additive qui est ajout\u00e9e couche par couche dans le proc\u00e9d\u00e9 d\u2019impression pour produire l\u2019objet pr\u00e8s de sa forme finale. La combinaison d\u2019additive (AM) et d\u2019alliage g\u00e9n\u00e9ralement d\u2019aluminium (AA) s\u2019av\u00e8re essentiel pour la fabrication des composants l\u00e9gers.<\/p>\n

La combinaison \u00e9prouv\u00e9e d’AM et d’AA est souvent limit\u00e9e \u00e0 quelques alliages par exemple le AlSi12 et AlSi10Mg. Pour les pi\u00e8ces non structurales, il existe un manque de connaissances sur l’ensemble de la m\u00e9tallurgie en AM des alliages d\u2019aluminium en particulier de s\u00e9rie A3xx. Ce manque de connaissances en microstructure, propri\u00e9t\u00e9s m\u00e9caniques et comportement pendant la fabrication et en service doit \u00eatre surmont\u00e9s avant d’int\u00e9grer l\u2019AM en tant que solution de fabrication viable et l’adoption industrielle de ses composants.<\/p>\n

L\u2019industrie a\u00e9rospatiale est entr\u00e9e dans une phase de recherche et d\u00e9veloppement tr\u00e8s active afin de combler ce manque de connaissances par apport aux AM de ces alliages est int\u00e9gr\u00e9 ces donn\u00e9es fondamentales dans leurs op\u00e9rations de conception et de fabrication respectives.  Il s\u2019agit d\u2019un d\u00e9fi consid\u00e9rable pour la technologie d\u2019impression 3D \u00e0 cause des caract\u00e9ristiques m\u00e9caniques des mat\u00e9riaux qui sont requis dans la fabrication des composants a\u00e9rospatiale.<\/p>\n

Actuellement, les travaux de recherches ont atteint des r\u00e9sultats tr\u00e8s int\u00e9ressants, en ce qui concerne la caract\u00e9risation des relations microstructure-traitement-propri\u00e9t\u00e9s pour l’AM des AA. Cette combinaison a montr\u00e9 d\u00e9j\u00e0 un gain de poids important par rapport aux composants coul\u00e9s non structuraux comme ceux des moteurs d\u2019avion. Ces r\u00e9sultats ouvrent un grand potentiel pour contribuer \u00e0 la r\u00e9duction globale du poids du moteur et ultimement une meilleure performance en vol de l\u2019avion.<\/p>\n
