Main responsabilities will include

  • Accountable for the timely collection of accounts;
  • Responsible for effectively resolving collections disputes and account reconciliation;
  • Responsible to keep updated with changes in collection practice and process;
  • Accurately evaluate the collectability of disputed/contentious items before they hit 60 days past due to flag “at-risk” accounts;
  • Partner and collaborate across departments to support collections activity as required to ensure cash flow targets are met;
  • Assist in other projects/initiatives as assigned to deliver on best-in-class processes and practice for the Cash Collections function;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and negotiation skills, specifically with Sales and External Customers;
  • Strong customer service mindset with the ability to solve it right the first time;
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office Excel, and ability to present analytics based on an assessment of current and aged receivables;
  • Self-starter with a continuous improvement mindset to support best in class process automation;
  • Strong team player, understanding that you deliver as a team and it is always best when you collaborate to find solutions to problems;
  • Demonstrated ability to learn with your peers and others and support a culture of resiliency in a continuously changing environment.

Education and Experience

  • A minimum of 3 years experience in a similar role is mandatory;
  • Extensive collections experience is mandatory;
  • Proven ability to deliver results;
  • Strong organization and time management skills, with demonstrated success managing multiple priorities;
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in both French and English;
  • Experience in collection with a high volume of clients and invoices;
  • Excel (very good, including functions and analysis);
  • Great interpersonal and communicational skills;
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment;
  • A DEP or DEC in finance or accounting is an asset.
