Main responsabilities will include

  • Maintain ownership of invoice collection success from start to end, and ensure satisfactory closure for all the projects assigned;
  • Adhere to the coordination of invoice collection process, and ensure proper documentation of  docs, invoices received from the clients;
  • Ensure that we start every client`s visit with a solid kick-off, thanking the clients for choosing LEYTON Canada;
  • Accountable for the timely collection of accounts;
  • Responsible for effectively resolving collections disputes and account reconciliation;
  • Responsible to keep updated with changes in collection practice and process;
  • Accurately evaluate the collectability of disputed/contentious items before they hit 60 days past due to flag “at-risk” accounts;
  • Partner and collaborate across departments to support collections activity as required to ensure cash flow targets are met;
  • Assist in other projects/initiatives as assigned to deliver on best-in-class processes and practice for the Cash Collections function;
  • Keep the client informed on any queries if they may arise;
  • Administer all the invoice collection activities from clients;
  • Refer any collection problems directly to the Sales Tax Recovery Department;
  • Follow up with the clients for collection visits;
  • Manage any problems or situations that may arise during the coordination of the project assigned. Escalate to correct person/group when necessary;
  • Send collected invoices to consultants on a timely basis;
  • Perform all other tasks related to the position.

Desired experience and skills

  • 1-2 years of experience in a similar position;
  • Hold or Pursue a DEC in accounting or certificate in accounting;
  • Good Excel level;
  • Bilingual (French and English);
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and negotiation skills, specifically with Sales &  External Customers;
  • Thoroughness, attention to detail, and rigor in working methods;
  • Organizational skills and the ability to follow upè
  • Planning and proactive;
  • Communication skills and team spirit;
  • Ability to work under pressure.
