Before launching your business overseas, you should be aware of the international sanctions imposed by the Canadian federal government. Indeed, at the moment Canada has sanctions and related measures in place against 21 countries and 3 terrorist organizations.

Moreover, if you are considering making a deal, a transaction with a country subject to the United Nation and/or Canadian sanctions, it is your responsibility to verify that the transaction is legal and to seek pre-export approvals from the appropriate national authorities if necessary.
